| The Italian stared after his ex-boyfriend, feeling his insides twist with each step the Grecian took. Heracles walking away confirmed his feelings- he was a horrible person who really didn’t deserve a chance at happiness. ….And it wasn’t fair. He felt like his whole world was crashing down on him, the last bit of hope that Heracles would fight for him disappearing with the man himself. He really was a worthless piece of shit. If no one was there to fight, to make him stay…then did they really care? His thing with Heracles…was it real? Apparently not, and that made everything hurt so much more.
A soft sob escaped his lips as he pulled his knees to his chest, wrapping his arms around his legs. He pulled his cell phone out, looking down at the numbers on his phone. Feliciano… Heracles… Some random co-workers… The old man…
But there was no one to call, no one to talk to and no one to pick him up. “Life hates me,” he whispered to himself, his eyes searching the parking lot for someone he knew. He needed to find a way home, but at the moment,, he was too torn up to call anyone or walk.
…Hopefully someone would come soon and help him.
(( Set right after Hera and Lovi broke up. I’ve been wondering if anyone would respond to a topic like this, so~ ))

| Kateryna had been wandering around the neighborhood for quite some time now, hands clinging tightly to her chest as she desperately tried to find something, anything at all, that she recognized to direct her way back towards her apartment complex. Growing more agitated for every step she took, she finally stopped under a street light and forced herself to realize that she was, without a doubt, completly lost.
"...W-what do I do now?..", she let out with a low, trembling voice as the tears had already set in the corners of her eyes. There was no one around to ask for directions, why would there be at this hour, and although she did have her cellphone there was no one listed in it yet that would be of any help. Nervously looking around, Kateryna was just met with a gut wrenching disappointment as anything new failed to show up where she had already looked several times before. Given that nothing was happening to help the situation if she just stood still, she sought out an intersection and followed what seemed to be a slightly bigger road, hoping that would lead to an area with more people.
Shoulders down and staring at the ground with a tear-hazed vision, she eventually found herself at a more open area. Drying some tears to see more clearly it appeared to be a parking lot, still nothing she recognized. But at the other end of the lot she noticed a sign, a bar sign, and Kateryna's tears of despair quickly shifted to tears of happiness as she realized it was still open and might be her rescue. She rushed out, running over the parking lot as fast as she could as if she was afraid that it would all just disappear, turning out to be a figment of her imagination.
Crying all the way to just outside of the bar, Kateryna had to stop, leaning over with her hands resting against her knees, as she tried to catch her breath. Running wasn't something she was good at and crying while doing so had drained her stamina too quickly. Drying her tears she was just about to straighten herself up again, but raising her head she found herself face to face with a man sitting on the ground, knees tugged in tight against his chest. Being both surprised and chocked as she hadn't noticed anyone there before, she froze in that position, just staring at him.

| The Italian almost missed the footsteps approaching him, too drawn into himself to notice. It was only when a shadow stepped into his line of vision and the sound of muffled sobbing reached his ear that he realized there was another person with him. It was someone else, just like he wanted. …So why wasn’t he feeling any better? Probably because he didn’t want to run off with some random stranger. Even though he was upset…Lovino knew his brother would kill him if he ended up dying.
It took him a moment to finally look up at the newcomer, wiping away his tears as he noticed who it was. It was one of those nurses who was in Feliciano’s ward… He didn’t know her well yet, so she must have been new. …Goddamn it. She didn’t need to see him like this. He shouldn’t have gotten so upset in such a public place… Ugh. He needed to get his act together.
Lovino wiped at his eyes with his sleeve, trying to get rid of his tears. His plan seemed to backfire because more tears took the place of the ones he had wiped away. He knew she was staring at him…she probably thought he was a freak…an idiot. And he honestly didn’t blame her. “…What do you want?” he grumbled softly, turning away so she wouldn’t see him crying.

| Kateryna still found herself unable to do anything besides carefully take in everything the man did, his tears was evident and that he was unable to stop them too. This sight quickly erased her own troubles from her mind and it wasn't until he spoke up that she realized that she was rather rudely staring him down. "Ah, I.. uhm..", stuttered out of her mouth as she averted her eyes from him to at least stop the staring. Yes, what did she want from him? The only desire she felt now was to help, but being strangers to one another she didn't quite know how or where to start. Helping strangers, no.. patients at the hospital was something completly different as they came there for the staff's expertise and most importantly, actually wanted the help.
But minding her own business wasn't anything that came to mind either in this situation. Reaching for a handkerchief in her handbag, Kateryna kneeled down to sit opposite of the man, offering the soft piece of cloth to him as it was probably less irritating for the eyes compared to his sleeves. "I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to stare at you like that.", she said softly, still not really looking directly at him. "I.. uhm..", she paused, slowly facing him again with a concerned look as she continued "If you don't mind, please tell me what's wrong. Maybe I can help you?".
Subconsciously she leaned forward as she expected his answer, most probably intruding on the little personal space that was left since Kateryna was close enough already. This was a bit of a work habit though, showing a genuine attentiveness and interest in what the other had to say, so that there wouldn't be a hesitation based on the impression that anything they did want to say wasn't going to be heard anyway.

| The Italian frowned at the woman in front of him. Why the hell was she still here? He wasn’t sure he wanted to talk right now; he really wasn’t in the mood for it. But…maybe it would help. He was willing to do anything to help him feel better…or to get his mind off of what had happened. He shifted a bit.
“It’s nothing,” he murmured softly, still desperately trying to stop his tears. “It’s nothing you need to worry about.” He struggled to get to his feet, falling back down as he tried to get up. The Italian took a deep breath, trying to look a lot better than he felt.

| The man did look very displeased with her presence, but Kateryna merely thought of that frowned up expression to be connected to whatever it was that was bothering him. And nothing? With a stream of tears like that? She might be somewhat naive but even such obvious lies didn't pass over her head unnoticed. Although that it might not be for her to worry about might be true... but to her, it seemed like someone did need to worry about him in this state, so why not herself? Even more so given the fact that, well, they seemed to be the only two people around here right now.
She reached out, still with the handkerchief in hand as he hadn't taken it from her when it was offered, and dried some of the tears for him. "This can't be nothing..", she said softly with a sympathetic smile, reaching over to wipe some more on the other side and continued, "It's hurting you really bad, isn't it?" And with his failed attempt to stand, Kateryna pondered about just how long he had been here, on his own, crying. That gave her more determination to do whatever she could to help as she relocated close to his side. "Where do you want to go to talk? I'll help you", she uttered while gesturing for him to lean against her so they could combine their efforts in getting up without falling again.

| The Italian frowned, trying not flinch as Kateryna began to wipe his tears away. It didn’t seem to do much good right now; more tears continued to run down his cheeks. He hated how he couldn’t stop them. He probably looked so horribly weak to his coworker right now…but he was too upset to stop to keep his appearance in tact. Lovino glanced up at the woman, trying to calm down a bit…because maybe if he could calm down, he could think things through…
His sobs continued and he nodded. Lovino knew her question had probably been a rhetorical one, but nodding seemed to help him a tiny bit. “S-somewhere,” he mumbled softly, able to control his sobs for a moment. “I don’t care where.” He just really needed to get out of here and away from the memories this place was now associated with. He didn’t want to stay here… If he kept sitting here, nothing was going to happen and if he went back inside he was going to drink enough to get him drunk.
It took him a long moment, but Lovino was eventually able to stand up. “T-there are keys in my pocket.” He didn’t know whay he was trusting her. There was just something about her…an aura she gave off that made him feel safe. It was like being with his mom…way back when, when she was alive. The feeling was the only thing he could really remember about her; she had died when he was only three. “We can go wherever…”

| That nodding to her question, even if it was indeed a rhetorical one, was quickly interpreted as to that her worrying had been accepted, and even might be wanted after all. This made Kateryna feel more at ease with how she would approach the situation. The previous insecurities and feelings of hesitation regarding that they weren't even slightly acquainted, simply vanished as if they weren't there to begin with. Now the man was just a new friend, and would be treated as she treated the dearest of them from this point on.
Given that the keys were mentioned, Kateryna thought going home to his place was the better alternative. Of course also because that she wouldn't be able to point out the way to her own home, but that was still pushed back into the depths of her mind. "Alright, let's head home to you then. But you'll have to point out the way ok?", she said with a smile, holding on to him like you would while supporting someone with a wounded leg. An arm around his back and the hand gripping his side gently, and the other in front, resting at his chest to prevent any falls forward. Walking was always Kateryna's first thought of transportation since that's what she usually did by herself. Not having a car, or even a license for that matter, she only rarely took a bus or other means of public transportations if she was running late.
"Ah! My name is Kateryna Braginskaya!", she suddenly blurted out as she had made the realization that they hadn't introduced themselves yet. How silly of her, here she was trying to help someone and she hadn't even bothered to make a proper introduction before butting into his business. Her face adapted a slightly more troubled look because of her dissatisfaction with herself for forgetting something so important. "I-I'm sorry! I should've said that earlier!", she said and looked at him with a hopeful face to that she would be forgiven.

| The Italian shook his head, letting her help him up. “Don’t apologize,” he murmured softly. “It’s not that big of a deal. I don’t really mind.” He took a deep breath, leaning against her for support, feeling pathetic. Why the hell couldn’t he even get out of the parking lot on his own? He held the woman close, beginning to lead her forward. “I’m the third car in the end row.”
Lovino took a deep breath, trying to stop his tears. “L-Lovino,” he told her softly. “Lovino Vargas.” He rubbed at his eyes again and bit his lip, determined to stop. She didn’t need to see him a mess like this- it wasn’t right. Not even Feliciano got to see him as upset as he was right now… The Italian sighed, digging his keys out and held them out for her with trembling fingers.

| Kateryna quickly let out a sigh of relief as she had been forgiven, followed by a big smile as the feeling of making a new friend always was a pleasant one for her. She followed the mans lead, making sure to carefully watch where they stepped as they made their way to his car. If they were to fall then her offer for support would've been pretty useless to begin with, thus she focused quite a bit in keeping the balance for both of them. Because of her focus being directed elsewhere, the mentioning of the car alone didn't cause the slightest reaction to her at that moment despite that she knew all too well that she wasn't able to drive.. not very good at least.
"Lovino Vargas"?, she asked, clearly showing that she thought the last name sounded familiar but that she couldn't quite place it. Was it from the hospital maybe? There's people from all over the world coming and going there all the time so it's fully possible she had been with a patient with the same surname already even if she had just worked there for a week. Ah, that doesn't matter now!, she thought, snapping herself out of it to give her attention to Lovino instead, he did need it much more.
"Lovino is a very nice name! Mind if I go with Lovi?", she exclaimed happily. Calling her friends by nicknames was just a way to show further affection for them. "Oh, and you can call me Kat if you want. Kateryna gets to be a bit long sometimes", and although that was true, she wanted to have a nickname for herself and had always secretly wished for her friends to call her by that. But for some reason most people she ever met had always stuck with her name.
Having the car keys held out for her to take, she finally realised that he probably expected her to do the driving. Given the state he was in, that was of course the most logical solution. If Lovino wasn't able to stand on his own then of course it was impossible to expect him to be able to drive. And the tears was surely blurring his vision too bad for any driving. Kateryna swallowed the lump that had formed in her throat at the prospect of driving and accepted the keys with a nervous smile. But looking at the trembling fingers that had passed the keys to her, she was reminded of that his needs was greater than whatever little worry she might have right now. Kateryna took his trembling hand and pressed the back of it against her chest to feel one of the most soothing things she knew... the calm thumping of heartbeats.
"Don't worry, ok? I'll stay with you until you're feeling better.", she said softly with a warm smile directed at Lovino. She was just genuinly wanting him to calm down a bit, even though saying such things now might seem a bit random. Kateryna continued with helping him into the passenger seat of the car, closing the door and taking several deep breaths before getting into the drivers seat herself. She wasn't completly new to how to make a car run as she had practiced driving a couple of times at least, but the many buttons always confused her a bit and she took some time looking everything over to try figuring out what everything was in this model.
Finally reaching to put the keys in the ignition she turned to Lovino, trying to hide the worry about how this was going to turn out. "I-I don't have a license, but I've practiced a bit before...", she said with a very weak smile but still with the determination to do this. She continued more quietly, ".. a very, very little bit." She started up the car and immideately afterwards buttoned her seatbelt and made sure Lovino did the same before she was going to attempt to make this thing move with herself behind the wheel.
((No worries, if I'm still able to pull out all of that after your post, it's all good ^_~))

| The Italian frowned as he slowly began the trek to the car, his arm around the woman for support. He didn’t want to fall and make a fool out of himself. He was already making a horrible impression…so he wasn’t sure why in the world he was feeling this way. Falling wasn’t nearly as bad as sobbing like a little kid…something he hadn’t done since Feliciano had been admitted into the hospital. He had never felt so powerless… That Goddamn moment had to be one of the worst in his life… And even now he still felt horrible about not being able to help his brother when he needed it the most.
He looked over at her when he heard her speak. Did she recognize his name? Lovino didn’t think they actually met before. He would have noticed meeting someone with…such… no. He was not going to think about that right now. He didn’t need to think about that…it wasn’t right. …And then there was the part where wasn’t interested in women…even if he never told anyone that… The Italian turned his gaze to her, his eyes moving over her breasts without hesitation trying to think of where she might have recognized his name. He had never spoken to her…but… she was a nurse, right? Maybe she was one of the ones who looked after Feliciano. It would explain how she knew the name…
Lovino shook his head, trying not to glare at Kateryna. “Don’t call me that,” he growled softly, getting annoyed by the nickname. …But at least now he wasn’t crying as much… That had to count for something…right? “I don’t like nicknames.” The only people who were allowed to call him any nicknames were Feliciano and… Well, right now it was just Feliciano. Heracles lost that right when he walked away… The thought of what just happened brought another wave of sadness over him which he tried to push away with no luck. “…But I’ll call you Kat if you want,” he added, wiping at his eyes as they approached the car. From the tone of her voice, she sounded like she wanted someone to call her that…and it was the least Lovino could do after she decided to try to help him. The Italian, though he would never admit it, was extremely grateful for her help. He wasn’t sure if he would have been able to get through this without her help. Maybe he could get Feliciano to draw her something in return for the help…
He watched her carefully as she took the car keys, tears still silently making their way down his cheeks. It was still hard to see, but he couldn’t make out the fine details. Another sob escaped his lips as he began to become depressed again. He barely noticed his hand moving to her chest, trying not to frown as he noticed where his hand was. …Was this supposed to help him feel better? So far it wasn’t…
A soft sigh escaped his lips as he leaned back into his seat, rubbing at his eyes as he buckled himself in. He just wanted to go home and pass out…and having some company wouldn’t be too bad either. Lovino appreciated everything she was doing for him when they barely knew each other. He let his eyes drift shut for a moment as she climbed in… And then she spoke. His eyes shot open and he turned to stare at her.
“You don’t know how to drive?” he asked with a frown, rubbing at his eyes again to try to get his tears to disappear, the shock of everything taking over. She shouldn’t be sitting there if she didn’t know how to drive… The last thing Lovino needed was to die. Things were looking a little better than they did before…he didn’t want to die.
“Stop the car and let me in the drivers seat. There’s no way I’m letting you drive if you barely know how.”
