Just because I'm a nurse doesn't make me female~ [Feliciano/Open]

Basch really wished people didn't assume he was female all the time, it was very annoying and embarrassing. More often when someone he thought was attractive openly flirted with him, he tried to condition himself to not respond too it. Because the few times he'd flirted back when he felt maybe it'd work they had pushed him away as soon as they realized said 'cute girl' was male. He'd given up on women because you saw a darker side to them when they didn't like their boyfriend staring at you. Right now was a good example of the dark-side of women & the work place, he'd been sent to check on someone who wasn't on his list of patients to check on. The other nurses he was working with had shoved him away from the nurses station before he correct the statement of 'New girl go deal with the Hospital CEO's sick grandson'.

He hated work place hazing but he wasn't in the mood to fight with people so soon after he started work. He was still worrying over where his little sister had ended up. Since he'd found that forwarded letter recently.

This hospital was great for being boring. He may have been an easily bored person, but he had figured that after a while he would find some form of excitement around here. So far his only excitement was when something was actually wrong with him. Then again, that was not the form of excitement Feliciano was looking for ever in his life. That was bad and something he didn't look forward to. The more often that happened, the less of a chance he would have at going home.

There was only a few pieces of interaction with humans Feliciano could look forward to during the day: Lovino, doctors, nurses, his grandfather, and the occasional friend visiting. None of these were really scheduled, so it left him playing a constant waiting game. Right now he would appreciate someone coming in for a visit, even a dreaded doctor, because his coughing was becoming a nuisance more than normal and he wanted the reassurance that he wasn't going to die.

When Basch looked at Feliciano Vargas, chart before entering the room and saw 'unknown' marked on diagnosis. It irritated him to some degree that the doctors hadn't found out, what did they do when going to school... not pay attention? You would think people would be trying a bit harder to find out what was wrong with the young man. He winced when he heard the bad coughing fit when he entered the room it sounded like Feliciano Vargas was in pain from it.

"Is there anything in particular that would make that any better for you?" He really hated that no one had told him anything about Feliciano Vargas' treatment. He hoped the younger man could recall what helped him the best he really didn't want to force him to wait while Basch tried to get answers out of the so far unhelpful coworkers he been stuck with today.

Feliciano nearly jumped when he heard a voice in the room with him. He was distracted for only a moment, and now there was someone in there. For a moment he wondered if it was a ghost since he hadn't heard them come in but that idea was even too silly for him. It only took a glance for him to notice that it was a nurse form the outfit, since he had become all too accustom to their visiting. Wait. Had she heard him coughing? He hated when that happened, though it happened frequently.

"I...I don't need anything! Just maybe to breathe!" Perhaps that sounded a bit sarcastic, but it was the truth, because after bad coughing fit he always panicked more and lost more breath than had already decided to leave his lungs before it should have. He didn't want the cute nurse to think that he was sickly and diseased and never come back because although she had a grumpy expression on her face that reminded him oddly of Lovino, she was still pretty cute.

Basch winced was he watched the younger man freak out, he felt bad for scaring him. It was obvious Feliciano Vargas was sensitive about what ever was wrong with him. Which Basch couldn't blame him for being overly sensitive too the poor young man didn't know what was wrong with himself. Who knows how some of the other nurses treated him they most likely treated him as 'professional' as possible. Since he was related to someone who could fire them for looking at someone funny.

"I'm sorry if I scared you, but you really must calm down. I'm sure if do so you'll be able to breath better," Basch told Feliciano in the most soothing tone he could mange. He scanner the room for something like an inhaler that might help. Trying to keep someone like this calm and preventing them from making anything that was potentially wrong worse was not his strong suit.

Though Feliciano wasn't a doctor, he did know that if you panicked and payed attention to something, the worse it got, especially with breathing issues. Still, he couldn't bring himself to stop, because although he was far from pessimistic, he was paranoid of randomly dying. On top of that, who didn't like breathing? Feliciano sure did. "I...I know." He really wasn't doing this on purpose, it was scary and he wouldn't purposely frighten himself, especially with bodily harm. "I can't help it." The whole time he gently rubbed his throat with his finger, as if it would accomplish fixing it somehow. His eyes were on the cute blonde nurse the whole time...

"Is their anything I could do or get to help you feel better?" Basch really wanted to help Feliciano, but the Italian wasn't making Basch job easy. He finally sat down on the bed next Feliciano as he went over the younger mans chart. He hoping he could find something in it that could help him help Feliciano. He seemed the type that didn't like being left alone in a hospital room day after day.

She was the nurse here, Feliciano wasn't. She was supposed to know what do to in this situation, not him. The nurse was lucky that she was pretty, or he probably would have whined to her. "I think that you should fix it!" The nurse wasn't magic, but surely enough she would be able too, or at least, that is what the desperation in his voice hinted at. "I would...really really appreciate it if you did, bella~" Yes, despite feeling horrible at the moment, he would try to flirt. At least it would take him mind of things for a small amount of time.

"I'm sorry I can't seem to fix it." Basch sighed annoyed as he realized that most of Feliciano's chart was well empty. The nurses on duty right now seemed to want him come running to them for help. Or at least those at the nurses station wanted him to make himself look stupid in-front of the rest of the staff. But Basch realized one thing that the redhead right not wasn't in a panic and his symptom seemed to recede while he wasn't hyper focused on the problem.

"I could leave and go get help if you want it seemed some of the other nurses didn't give me your full chart. So I don't know what wrong other then you seem to be is in pain right now. Or can stay here not leave you alone and you can tell me what is bothering you. I can't help you if I don't know what is causing your problems, it is your body so you must know something about it all and if you tell me it can all be fixed sooner. Rather then me having to wait on someone else to come here to help you." Basch really hoped Feliciano would just explain what was bothering him. If he could do this it'd show the nurses that he wasn't going to fall into their hazing him. He did his best to give the other a pleasant smile hoping to put Feliciano at ease.

'I'm sorry I can't seem to fix it.' Well that was something that no patient ever wanted to hear from any type of medical professional. "Ahh no! Please don't go. Stay here. Your nice smile will cheer me up and fix it!" Perhaps it was a good life choice that Feliciano never started to pursue a career in medical field with that type of logic. The nurse did have a nice smile despite her angry expression, once again another similar trait with his brother. "You should come over here~" he said, flashing the cute blonde nurse his own smile despite difficulty breathing and motioning for her to come closer to his bedside.

Basch could not help but stares at Feliciano confused when he made the comment about his smile. That was not something he had ever had compliment him on, it was strange. It was becoming obvious that once again this young man had mistaken him for female. Letting out a slightly annoyed sigh, he wondered if there was a way to inform the Italian without freaking him out or snapping at him, which he was withholding himself from doing so because he did not want to make Feliciano feel any worse then he already was.

"I will not leave you here alone," Basch hesitantly reassured the Italian. He was not going to leave the young man in pain unless it became obvious he needed a doctor’s intervention but he hoped the man could calm down enough on his own. "But I do not think I should sit any closer it would not be very professional." He hoped Feliciano could take a hint.

Sadly for poor Basch, the Italian never was good at taking hints. On the other hand, at this moment in time Feliciano thought that the cute nurse was the one not taking the clear hint of coming closer to his bedside. He gave up his motioning with an inner sigh of disappointment, but his smile only faltered slightly. In the least, he wasn't going to be left alone. That was a huge reassurance because he really hated being stuck up alone in this room. There was only so much of these boring white walls that he could take! He wasn't complaining though because there were only two ways out of this particular room: going home or moving to intensive care. It was clear which was the better of the two.

"Don't worry!" he said with a little look around the room. "There is no one else here to know if you even come close to me. I won't tell." He was the one who could probably get people in trouble if he whined to his grandfather, but Felicano wasn't that kind of person. Once again, he motioned for her to come over. "Please~?"

Basch wince as the other young man started cheerfully pointed out no one was around right no to see. He finally huffed and sat closer to the Italian he didn't want to man to start to whine the extreme cheerfulness it was annoying as it was. But if the stupid man tried to grope him or something like that, he was leaving he didn't care if he go fired. He'd just tell the other nurses to take care of Feliciano themselves, put drew the line at being sexually harassed by a patient.

"There are you happy?" Basch grumbled he really wished he could leave but didn't want to leave the Italian alone. He hoped someone would show up that could tell him what to give to Feliciano to make him feel better. He genuinely didn't like seeing the man in pain like this.
