| Anyone that knew Feliciano would tell you that he loved taking naps all day if given the opportunity. Not that he was expected to be happy about this rather long hospital stay, but here he was told to sleep all the time and rest. At home, he could sneak in a nap a day but Lovino would often abruptly wake him up for no reason and scare him...so the rest here should have been considered a great gift! Sadly, that wasn't the case. Even when he was sick, there was only so long a person could sleep in one day. It didn't help that this bad was lumpy and still smelt like old people, even if Lovino had brought him his own pillow from his bedroom back at their apartment. Sleeping also could be downright uncomfortable feeling at times.
He had already taken a nap for a few hours and awoke the to all too familiar empty room, looking around while trying to fix up his bed head with one of his hands. Nope. Nothing had changed from the last time. How disappointing. It wasn't that he wasn't thankful that his grandfather had gotten him a very nice room of his own, the room was just so dull. So much white. Feliciano was pretty sure he now understood why people in mental hospitals went crazy. Those white walls were enough to make anyone do that. Though...weren't they crazy to begin with? Ah, that was besides the point here.
Lately, he had been allowed to go sit in the patient lounge as opposed to sitting cramped up in this room, but he had to ask a nurse for and he knew he was he only one in the room. A glance at the clock also told him that Lovino wouldn't be visiting any time soon either. That meant bothering him to bring a cute nurse to be his escort was out of the question too. Feliciano also wasn't about to get his hopes up for his grandfather visiting, because he was always so busy with work. The nurses told him not to press that help button unless he really needed something too. He had already gotten scolded for pressing it too much.
Ah...Lovino had brought him all those nice gifts to pass the time though! He always forgot about that. Reaching over to the bedside table, he rummaged around in the big drawer until he pulled out a pencil and the sketchbook his brother had bought him just for here. In the least, it would keep his attention for a while until he was able to have contact with another human. For now, Feliciano sat up in bed, focusing what little attention he had on scribbling a rabbit...

| He sighed, shoving the paperwork aside. Romulus Vargas, CEO of the well-known Axis Memorial Hospital, had been buried beneath papers for quite a long time. Three days to be exact of literally sitting in his office and working, coming out only for food and one or two breaks in between where he would go to the Courtyard for a quick smoke... Though Lovino, his grandson, had certainly given him a mouthful on not smoking near the turtles by the pond. He would be sure to either find another place to smoke or perhaps quit the growing habit... Ah, well that was for another time.
He looked over at another small pile of paper and shook his head. He needed a break... But he wasn't hungry and he wasn't craving a smoke, so-- Ah! Feliciano! He hadn't visited Feli in too long. Now would be the perfect time to do so, then~! He had been spending so much time trying to find excellent doctors to help Feliciano, but wouldn't it also be best if he would just visit the boy in person? It would certainly make Rome feel better.
He reached down and tugged open the bottom drawer, pulling out a wrapped present. It was fairly thin and looked to be layered. He then grabbed a thin bag and stood up. He wanted to leave quickly. He knew that when he returned the finished paperwork would be gone and there would be others to take his place. How on earth had it gotten this far? It wasn't like he had ever skipped out on work. It had just started coming in like crazy...
Oh well. He could forget about it for a moment as he exited his office and headed down the hall and through the hospital in search of Feliciano's room. He had made sure to give his grandson the best care, which... well, granted, was extremely biased, but he was paying the money for it so no one could really say anything about it.
He poked his head in and knocked softly on the door with a grin. "Feli~? Mind if nonno comes in~?" He used the italian word for grandfather. He found it to be better since his grandsons would understand, but nobody else around him would. He wouldn't call himself "grandfather" in English aloud ever.

| At this moment in time, Feliciano was drawing the fluffy tail on his rabbit. Once he started, he honestly had no idea why he had even picked a rabbit of all things. Outside they liked to hide from human contact, and he clearly hadn't seen one inside the hospital. This made his memories a bit fuzzy on the exact anatomy of the small creature. As much as he loved drawing the fluffy little tail, his attention towards the doodle was dwindling.
Luckily for him, something else caught his attention that was much more entertaining than the most adorable rabbit he could imagine. There was no mistaking it, it was the sound of his grandfather's voice. With a smile, he looked over to the door, in excitement. He really wasn't imagining things! His grandfather's head was peeking around the doorway. There was no mistaking it. "Gr--" he started to say, only to remember that they were in public. Ever since he and Lovino were younger and first learned the word grandfather in English, it was always insisted that they just called him nonno still for some reason. It was a fun game that he wasn't about to lose. "Nonno! Come inside!" he corrected himself, waving his grandfather inside eagerly with his free hand.
With his other hand, he dropped the pencil he had been holding and lightly shoved that and the sketchbook off his lap. It was clear that he was all too excited about this little visit. Feliciano really missed being able to visit his grandfather whenever he wanted. It felt strange. Normally Feliciano was the one that would come to the hospital to visit him at work, now it was the opposite. Judging by his clothes, he was still supposed to be working, but Feliciano could care less. He had a visitor!
"I am really happy that you came to visit today! I was getting really bored in here. None of the nurses come back to visit when I invite them back here, heh." He was still smiling like an idiot. His grandfather had known him long enough to know that poor Feliciano couldn't ever sit still, so this must be torturous. He was always clingy, but lately he had been craving human interaction more than normal. At least now he could get that contact of the day. The smile on his grandfather's face was enough to cheer him up.

| He raised a brow as Feli looked his way, nearly slipping and calling him grandfather. He gave a sigh of relief as the boy stopped a moment before continuing by calling him what he had asked. He didn't need any of the staff going around calling him "Grandpa Rome". That would be utterly humiliating. He was still so young! He wasn't supposed to be a grandpa, yet! Especially not with two grandsons in their twenties!
But oh well. He just grinned and entered in, holding the presents behind his back. Feli seemed overwhelmingly excited to see someone. Did people really not visit him often enough?... Well, Lovi did also have work... And unless they were friends, Romulus might shoo away lovers or call security on them... But at least it would be out of love! He couldn't afford to lose another grandson just yet. Not to those big, scary strangers in the world! These were his babies!
Then again... They were already in their twenties... To which Rome gave a mental facepalm.
"Is that so? I should remind the nurses, then, that there is an adorable young man just waiting for attention in this room~ I'm sure they'll come running!" He chuckled. Actually, most of the nurses would probably slap him or curse at him for just talking to him, though some actually did often think he was highly attractive... The "most" category comes from women he's already done something to or with. "I brought something for you~ Thought it might be fun, hm? In this day an age, that is." He nodded, bringing out the present and laying it on Feliciano's lap, setting the case in his other hand down and kissing Feli on the forehead.
Inside was a laptop... and a tablet. Feliciano loved to draw and paint and, well, all sorts of things! Perhaps a new toy was in order to keep his mind off being in this hospital. He could mess around with all of the programs, maybe write and play some games. He couldn't give internet, considering it would likely mess with some of the machines and such, but at last he could continue to buy him games and things to hopefully keep him focused on something else.

| Feliciano gave a small nod of agreement with an accompanying noise. "You should remind them so they come more!" As much as hospital staff scared him, the nurses weren't as bad as the doctors themselves. The sad truth was that even nurses, as cute as they were, came with needles too. He would use selective memory and chose not to relive those experiences, however. He knew his grandfather was great with the ladies here so this wouldn't be a tough feat for him.
All thoughts of cute nurses tending to him that lingered in his head quickly left with the new announcement from his grandfather. A gift? This brought an even bigger smile to his face. If there was one thing that he selfishly had to admit to liking about being cooped up in the hospital, it was the presents. Even Lovino who was always so aggressive towards him gave him more gifts over the course of his stay so far that he couldn't list them all....even if most of them were scattered about the room. "You brought me something?"
Honestly he didn't have a clue what he meant with his little hint, but he was excited. This one was even wrapped up! It was clear he was considerably happy, and as he got a kiss, he still couldn't wait to open it. He would make sure to thank his grandfather and give him a big hug after he opened it. Feliciano opened presents like a small child still. He ripped back the wrapping paper quickly and excitedly, eager to see what was inside. When all the wrapping was gone, if possible, Feliciano's face lit up even more.
"Woooah! You bought me these?!" Both of these items were very expensive, and looked brand new. Like any person, he was extremely happy to get this. Feliciano looked between the gifts in his lap, and the man who gave them to him a few times trying to figure out how to properly express his excitement. "Thank you nonno!" He looked at the older man with a big smile. "This is the best present ever!" Feliciano wanted to give him a hug to express his thanks, but found that he really was stuck in this bed. Lifting his arms in his grandpa's direction, he hoped that he would get the hint so he could hug him properly.
