Gasping slightly at the feeling of Willem slipping out, Francis panted hard, shaking as he leaned against the desk. He tried to pull away, reaching down and gripping his trousers, pulling them up and wincing- God his legs burned. "I-I just... have to go-" he said quickly, backing away and limping slightly.

"Really- I... just... Adieu Doctor Jansen-" he breathed, backing up to the door, doing up his pants quickly even with the slight limp in his step.

The Dutchman was less than pleased when Francis started to get redressed, clicking his tongue against the roof of his mouth as he stepped back and looked away. Disposing of the condom, he leaned a hand against the desk as soon as the other was no long occupying it.

Tilting his head back and glaring at him blankly, he figured that the blonde was probably off to go run after doctor Kirkland and beg for his position to not be taken like a sniveling little dog. With a frustrated sigh, he looked back away from him to growl lightly.

"You owe me."

Francis swallowed hard at the words, fixing his pants and opening the door quickly, not responding as he hurried out. The door slammed behind him and he felt another sneeze tickling his nose as he looked down the hall-

Dieu. He did not need this on top of everything! "Kirkland!" he called after the Brit, rushing after him as quickly as he could given his slight limp. "W-Wait! S'il vous plait it wasn't what it looked like!"

Arthur heard his name, froze as he walked before turning slowly and the moment Francis was within range, brought his hand across the angled jaw, the slap echoing in the hallway. The angry tears were impossible to stop now.

"I-Idiot." he choked out, "You cannot take my first kiss, promise a date, kiss me again and just MOCK me like I'm some- some naive whore! Fuck you Mr. Bonnefoy, I will not be making this mistake again, you can be damned-bloody well sure of that!"

His chest heaved after the words and he let his hand fall to his side, clenched into a fist. "I-I thought we had something." he said, more to himself, "But I guess that was just some foolish part of me. Damned fool I was, thinking you actually cared, actually wanted me to look up... I-I can assure you I-I won't be looking up ever again...."

Francis' ears rang, his head turning against the slap as he already felt the throbbing heat turn his cheek read. He was trembling slightly, and the aching in his chest only grew more painful as Arthur spoke, the words echoing in his head.

I thought we had something.

It took everything he had to finally turn back towards the Brit, looking at him and feeling the guilt spike even wose- more painful than the stinging at his cheek. "D-Doctor... Kirkland please- s'il vous plait just... hear me out. I do care very much- I just-" he spoke quickly, afraid Arthur would either hit him again or leave. "I-I'm sorry!"

"And I don't give a damn." Arthur muttered, taking a step away, shaking his head, a crooked smile appearing on his lips. "You hear that? I could... I could give a damn about you! I-I'm not going to wallow about this- I-I'm going to move on, find someone, anyone else... Someone that cares about me and not just getting a bit of cock."

He took a deep shuddering breath. "We have patients to deal with Mr. Bonnefoy and I expect nothing less than perfection from now on." he turned around, lifting a hand to rub away the tears, "Good day to you."

Francis felt something inside of him break and he could've sworn if he had tried to speak he wouldn't have been able to. His throat was thick- he couldn't move. His feet seemed to be stuck in place while his shoulders lost the will to stay up.

He'd been rejected plenty of times. Alright, maybe not plenty- but he'd experienced it, this wasn't new to him. Actually, he was pretty sure that he had heard almost those exact words before, back in France but-
