| He was refreshed, not tired, had a good dinner at home last night, and slept well. The day would have been perfect if it were not for the fact the hospital was short staffed today. As one of the few doctors who weren't busy with more important tasks, Toris was forced to not only keep on with his normal clients, but do check ups on some other patients. It kind of ruined the perfect day vibe he got when he woke up that morning.
"Let's see..." Toris checked his clipboard with the patient's information "Terje Jordahl, age 19, male. Check for anything pertaining to his current condition." Attached was a list of the symptoms he had shown, and which Toris would check the severity of, and see if any new problems began.
Reaching the door of the room the patient occupied, he turned the handle and stepped in. "I'm Toris Laurinaitis and I'll be doing a routine check up on you today in place of your normal doctor" He automatically said when the door was closed behind him.

| He was still adjusting himself from the drugs he was shot up with earlier, and he was rather peeved to wake up in another check-up room, but this one looked different. Was he not in a clinic anymore? He had no idea. He couldn't even remember getting here, how he did get here. Damn doctors.... conniving sort of masterminds. Heck, he wasn't even sure how much time had passed since he woke up, waiting and wondering what he was waiting for, when the door finally opened around the fifth time he was questioning how he got from point A to point B.
"I don't have a doctor, so it doesn't even matter to me if you're covering for another."
It really didn't at all, but what did matter was having to deal with this all over again. The spots had worn down and he can atleast seem much better now through the haze of flashing white, and he began to ponder the what-ifs of him running away from this again. Without hitting a wall this time, of course.

| "Alright then " Toris said casually as he sat in a chair diagonal fromthe patient bed. He looked at the sheet attached for the symptoms Terje had shown. "So, Mr. Jordahl" He began "How is your vision? Are you seeing any spots in your vision, or the like? This attached sheet says you've had temporary blindness, so I believe it would be best if you told me about that too" Toris listed off all eye related symptoms Terje had previously shown.
His hands reached for a pad of paper and a pen to take any notes if needed.

| He really disliked having things repeated to him, or rather, the same questions being asked of him. This was part of why he preferred living a solitary life -It avoided having to deal with and talk to people. A large part of him wanted to curse off the other, and to let him go, but than logic came over his mind; if he just told this guy everything, then he can leave sooner, return home, and go back to his gardening. So with a firm tone set in his voice, he nodded is head, and responded to this Toris (and what sort of name was that, anyway?)
"I see spots, and they vary in size every so often, sometimes taking over my sight completely -So ja, I do become momentarily blind."
He looked down, eying the pen and paper the other had, and somehow he didn't like how he was being jotted down -It made it feel like he was seeing a therapist. "My hearing, as well, fades in and out, cutting off entirely too. That, along with severe headaches that are becoming more frequent."

| "Ah, okay" Toris wrote down some things and circled them "I might be able to get you some pain medication for the headaches, if you need it" He said, then remembered something "You might need to go in for a specialist though. Having vision problems and temporary loss of limb movement along with these headaches may mean you could have something more serious." He paused thoughtfully "Do you feel that the vision loss, headaches and your limb problems are connected, or occur very close together?"
If Terje agreed that they were connected to each other, he'd have to ring the specialist and see if he's open for any patient, and if so, Toris could get to his actual patients sooner. Which he looked forward to.

| He decided that he would try and understand the tricks of these doctors, try and read and decipher other meanings behind their questions, that way he could lie if he needed to or make up something to get them off his case a little. Even though all those symptoms occurred all at once most the time, he didn't want to mention that -Especially if it would lead into him being diagnosed with something he really didn't wish to know about. He'll take the medication he needs to, but he didn't want to waste his time any longer in this place. So with a look that expressed all but seriousness, so what he said would be believed, he said, "They happen one after another, spread out, not at the same time."
Yes, There we go. That was a very good answer to steer clear from anything he didn't want.

| "Well, they don't have to be at all at the same time" Toris eyed the teenager "They just have to occur, you know. Now for the basic check-up routine." He flipped through the papers "You're eating three meals a day, brushing your teeth and all that?" Looking at Terje before he could answer, Toris noted "I'll be weighing you on the scale afterwards, so don't bother to lie" To Toris, Terje looked like a stick, and maybe even underweight for someone of his age and gender. But there were no notes about this on the documents he had been given, oddly. | |

| Well, shit, that kind of sucked --Was it bad that he was just naturally built like this? It didn't matter whether he ate three meals or day, or five when he could, he always just hovered around the same. Also, what the hell sort of question was brushing his teeth? He was a stickler when it came to hygiene. "Those questions are ridiculous -I'm not unhealthy. I eat when I have to, and I keep myself clean." Crossing his arms, he turned away to look out the window, only to catch sight of those faeries again... -Were they following him or something? | |

| "Alright, alright" Toris sighed, and stood up "Follow me so we can get your height and weight down, though it's only a formality, really" He headed towards the door and opened it, letting Terje exit first. Though he was growing a bit irritated at the realization that this would take a while, it didn't mean he had to be rude. "After this, I need to ask you a few more questions, take your blood pressure, and tell you whether or not you will need to stay in the hospital" Toris explained calmly. | |

| With much reluctance, he managed to slide off the bed and follow after the other. He began to wonder what sort of doctor this guy was... what he specialized in. Was he even in the department of doctors that should be treating him right now? Whatever... that wasn't important; a doctor was a doctor. "Of course it is, ja." He rolled his eyes a little, slowly catching up to be weighed and all that typical shit that happened when getting a check-up. He direly hoped he didn't need to stay here after this, god, he didn't even want to think about it until it was told to his face. However... he had to plan an escape or something. He wondered if his parents would take home if he had to stay here? Maybe get treated at home, by a private doctor. Ja... that sounded better than being locked up away in this place. | |

| "Alright" Toris said as they reached the room with the scale. "Take off your shoes and step on the scale" Toris stood beside the scale, ready to fiddle with the weights on the scale to determine Terje's current weight. Though not much could be said for how modern the scale was, at least it was accurate and didn't run on electricity. They had a lot of these types of scales throughout the hospital, since it cut back on expenses."After this, keep your shoes off for the height measurement" Glancing at the thin patient, Toris shook his head and sighed. | |

| His shoes weren't tie-ups, he hated shoelaces and he hated the time it took to tighten and knot them. What he was wearing were brown slip on boots, looking almost identical to those (Uggs) that lots of girls wore these days. Of course, these were manly boots (notreally) but he liked them. They were comfy, and it didn't waste time at the door to put on and take them off when he went out to garden, which showed on his footwear as dried mud and dirt were evident all around the bottom of it, along with some grass stains. Stepping out from them, he stood upon the school, eying the doctor with a sideways glance, "Do what you need to now, ja." | |

| "Okay" Toris simply nodded and began to adjust the scale, waiting for the bar at the top to be perfectly balanced. After a few minutes, the bar was balanced, with a weight of 120 lbs. "Still the same" Toris scribbled something in his notepad "Now, to the wall" Going to a nearby desk first, Toris unlocked a drawer with a silver key, and pulled out a measuring tape. Walking back to the wall he specified, he listed off some instructions. "Stand up straight, heels to the wall, chin up" He said "And stay still. It's not easy to measure people who are constantly moving" | |

| "Do I look like somebody who moves around alot?" Sure he moved frequently while gardening, and that one time where he tried to run away from being sedated, but in general, he was slow. He took his time with his actions and never rushed anything. Noting in his mind his weight he wondered if that was a bad size, and he wasn't getting any sort of indication in the doctor's face, eyes, or his tone of voice. Yet, anyway. Following his instruction, he leaned up against the wall, chin up, and was pretty much forced to look at the other guy at a much more closer sight.
This made him frown with a slight warming of his cheeks.
This doctor was better looking than those other two (Well, one of them atleast) that he had to deal with earlier that day (if it was the same day at all) but he doubted he was drugged up that strongly.

| "Okay, lets begin" Toris knelt down and placed the end of the tape measure on the ground, holding it down with his foot as he slowly rose up, pulling the tape measure up with him. He moved in front of Terje as soon as the tape measure reached the top of Terje's head, and moved a bit close in order to see the small numbers on the tape measure. " 5'6'' " He said quietly "You're pretty underweight, for your age and height. Do you have any known condition that may cause you to lose weight easily, or puts your metabolism into overdrive?" | |

| Blinking first, he then muttered a random obscenity under his breath. Damn. This was bad, wasn't it? He didn't recall ever having issues with eating, or being sick enough to be underweight. He was healthy, and always had been, but apparently now he wasn't? "Nei, I've never had any problems."
His diet was regular, and he didn't do any strenuous activity, but gardening gave him enough daily exercise, if anything. Heck, he never even had to go the clinic or a hospital for any issues until that morning. So really, he had no damn idea if he really did have dietary problems to have the weight he does for his height and age.

| "Hmm, okay" Toris said thoughtfully "You could just have an unusually fast metabolism." He gestured to Terje's body "Though your body seems fine physically. Your hands aren't bony and thin, and it may be a safe bet that you look pretty normal. I'll have to look into the reason why" He said thoughtfully "Anyway, let's go back to the exam room, the blood pressure equipment is there" Toris let the tape measure roll back up, and placed it in the drawer before leaving the room.
[[Just making sure, is Terje wearing long sleeves?]]

| He just nodded and accepted what the other man said. Fast metabolism? Sure, he could live with that. Stepping off the scale he slipped back into his boots and turned to head over to the room they had been in prior to the height and weight check-up. Without waiting for any instruction, he hopped back up onto the bedding, and sat off the edge, eyes following the doctor to figure anything out; yet he wasn't sure what.
"Which would be worse for my size? Low or high pressure?"
Asking this so that he could hope that whichever one was most worse, he had the other. He did not want to stay here, and his patience to go back home already was wearing thin.

| "It really doesn't matter, blood pressure isn't really affected my size" Toris said easily "I don't think you have to worry" He walked over to a wall, where black blood pressure equipment were hanging on hooks. He took one, and adjusted the metal parts, twisting them tighter, and making sure the pump worked.
That being ready, Toris walked over to Terje, opening the fabric cuff, and hooked the equipment up to a meter on the wall.
"Could you pull one of your sleeves up?" Torus requested, noticing the long sleeves his patient wore. Toris personally found it a bit odd, since it wasn't even a bit cold outside, but Toris was wearing a white doctor coat, so he really couldn't say anything about it.

| He raised a brow at the command, request... whatever the hell it was, but it didn't matter too much because it all meant the same and demanded him to pull his sleeve up anyway. "Isn't that your job, lege?" Inquiring this first, he didn't pull up his sleeve, just gazed straight at the other with blankest of stares. Seriously though, weren't doctors suppose to do that, or was he just so unaware of the world these days and a new law was enforced about sleeve-lifting by doctors? Whichever the case, he didn't move to do anything. | |

| "Some patients prefer doing it themselves " Toris shrugged "But alright, I guess" Toris took the back of one of Terje's hands in his and slid up the shirt , pushing back a sleeve. The skin felt smooth, but calloused from garden work. He noticed a few bruises, but hw dismissed it as normal. After that, Terje took the fabric part of the cuff and wrapped around Terje's upper arm "Tell me if it hurts too much or if you feel like you'll faint" He warned. It did happen sometimes, people fainting from it. Was not pleasant to watch. Hopefully, this one would tell him. | |

| Some patients, huh... that's right. Makes sense, he supposed. With a bit of a shrug, he didn't move to do it himself, pretty much beckoning the other to do the job for him, which the other soon did. Besides, he may like to do things on his own, but if he knew he didn't have to, then why do it? Though, not one much use to physical contact, he couldn't help that his mind became distracted at the hand curled around his arm; it was somewhat nice, but he stopped his thoughts there to tilt his head and look at the doctor, "Why would it hurt?"
So says the one who has never had his pressure checked -Atleast, not a time he could remember, anyway.

| "Well, this cuff will be inflating and thereby squeezing your arm. It'll be tight enough for it to detect your blood pressure, and that tightness often makes people feel faint or a bit woozy" Toris explained as he tugged on the cuff to make sure it was secure. "Alright, let's begin" Still gently holding Terje's arm, he squeezed the pump, which, as he said, made the cuff inflate a bit. Over and over he did this, checking the monitor as the cuff further inflated. | |

| (( I somehow never saw this until now~ XD))
Nodding in understanding, he slumped a little, looking anywhere but at the doctor. This, he hated this, and it was only his first time, too. Well, being in a hospital that is... sure he has had regular check-ups when he was younger with the wooden stick and the hammer to the knee to check nerves and crap. This was pretty much the same thing though, but at the same time, totally not. "Hm..." Sighing, he tilted his head back, just wanting to leave.

| "Ah, anything wrong?" Toris looked at his patient as he quickly scribbled some numbers on a sheet of paper before continuing the check-up. He took off the cuff as soon as he was done, and gave a polite smile "That didn't take too long, at least" He looked around the room, thinking about what had to be done next. Ah, there was that, at least. And his superiors had told him to suggest it to those who come in for a check up, so...
"Have you had the recent flu vaccine, yet?"
