Jun-Yi Huan -- Hong Kong Hdr

Full Name:Jun-Yi Huan
Age:Twelve
Birthday: October 1, 1997
Gender:Male, although his almost-chin length brown hair adds a little feminine touch to him.
Hometown:Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong

Appearance:

Jun-Yi Huang has long, brown-chestnut, choppy hair to his chin that has now lost their usual shine, and dull, brown, almost lifeless eyes. They are the same colour as his hair, but a more light, glossy brown. There is rare no emotion in the irises or the hues, and it is impossible to see what he is thinking; he covers his thoughts and his inside self by doing so. Usually, he wears the Hospital uniform, but he prefers wearing his home-ish, rouge/burgundy duangua with oversized and dark black-coloured sleeves, and khaki-brown pants to his ankles. He is very well-statured, but sometimes, he slumps without himself knowing; either because of the pain in his stomach, or the tiredness he receives from less sleep, every night. The teen also sports dark circles under his eyes, and it is obvious his eyelids seem to be straining to down with the weight of his long, yet exotic eyelashes. Anyone who looks at Jun-Yi seem to mention his baby-like face with soft features, and that makes him look much more younger than he is. He doesn't complain, per se, but when someone pinches his cheeks or makes physical contact, he is known to kick, punch, or use some kind of action to make the other go away.

It can be also seen how thin and petite the teen is; with wiry frames and no muscle at all.

Personality:

Jun-Yi is a very, very quiet young man, and only speaks when he must or is spoken to, and almost seems like he is ignoring the others when he walks or is in a conversation. In fact, he doesn't even like being in an conversation, feeling a bit awkward with socializing with anyone. And if he does speak, as rare at it is, it is at a simple monotone, sounding bored and tired with each word he says. If seen closely, it would have seemed as if he was in pain when speaking or pronouncing words, and that isn't so far away from the truth. Even though he tries to keep this a little secret, Jun-Yi is becoming blind, thus explaining his 'lifeless' eyes he scrutinize people with. And when that happens, or if his attention is on someone, then he begins to squeeze his eyes to see them better, although it isn't becoming better; it's taking a turn to the worse. The stubborn teen won't admit it to anyone, though, so it's up to someone to find out the problem and admit it; he was never good at explaining himself or producing emotion through his words and vocal chords, so it will be a hard job to be stuck with him as his Pediatrician.

Mostly, Jun-Yi has control of his emotions and words, and tends to speak lowly, lightly, as if he was in a small trance; although he prefers to stay quiet and be in the backdrop than to be in the spotlight. It isn't hard to notice that he could almost come off as 'self-centred' or 'self-thinking', but he just isn't sure of what to do, in fact -- he doesn't think of himself as important, needed, or helpful. So usually, he stays at the corner, away from the attention from groups or questionings. It is no secret -- he hates questionings. In fact, the brunette teen loathes them, and keeps his lips shut much more; giving an impression of a shell --; clamped, closed, and unless provoked or pried open, no speech will follow. An hereditary thing he's received from his Father is, the bad fact of short tempers, much like the fuses of firecrackers he loves messing with. Yes, it's true -- the quiet, calm teen loves fire or items related to fire, and is obsessed with 'pyro'. It is best to keep Jun-Yi from sharp materials or anything that can begin a fire; such as a firecracker, lighter, cigarettes, or any such things.

Surprisingly, under all his cool and calm outer personality, Jun-Yi is very touchy and sensitive underneath; in his heart, he is very scared of everyone's thought of real himself -- the little child inside, buried in underneath all his skin... The one who is scared of the dark, nightmares, and storms. Because of his history of his younger days, it isn't hard to imagine why he goes through these situations. Jun-Yi is an insomniac, finding it hard to sleep everyday. If someone talks to him, he doesn't specifically say anything back, but replies with a blank stare and an annoyed look a little later. If it gets more terrible, however, then he becomes a little bit more physical, and will take out the hidden lighter underneath his sleeves. Even if he replies, Jun-Yi replies with a small nod or one worded answer, while looking away.

Another thing to bring for good luck when meeting him is chocolates, as surprising and out-of-character as it can be. He's a mere childe; sweets and chocolates makes his world go around, and with the rarity of them when he was young, Jun-Yi tries to gets them as much as he can now; although his carelessness might develop into a painful cavity. It's no secret -- he has a big, and unmistakable sweet-tooth.

Diagnosis:

Self-infliction of pain; can almost go to the file of, 'suicidal.'

Symptoms:

& Blank, lifeless stares
& Repeats his last sentence or phrase, sometimes
& Fiddles with his sleeves or the ends of his shirt, or even a lighter or pen to click on.
& Squints to look at someone or something clearly
& Falls, trips, or stumbles without noticing; and becomes covered with scratches or bruises
& Clumsy, and far-away expression; has the inability to hold something straight and clearly straight.

- Insomnia [ Inability to Sleep. ]
- Close to Blindness
- Extreme Anti-Social
- Achluophobia [ Phobia of Darkness. ]
- Keraunophobia [ Phobia of Storms. ]

Incident:

Jun-Yi, despite his emotionless outside, has been trying to rid the emotions completely in the inside; the bullying by the others and the names called was too much for the teen to bear, and he cracked, just a couple of days before his Birthday. Climbing the roof of the School he attended, he purposely picked a windy day to jump; quickly, Jun-Yi was becoming suicidal. He wanted to feel something, but to him, the world was in sepia; black and grey, cold and cruel. However, the wind did something good for him -- as he closed his eyes and jumped, the edge of his clothing was caught at the cliff of the beams. Being stuck, it didn't take long before he was found and taken into the Police Station, had a background check run, then after presuming that his Father and Mother was dead, was sent off to Axis Memorial Hospital.

Other Notes:

- Medication
Jun-Yi hates medicine in any forms, especially the pills; he finds it hard to swallow it down. The most loathed form of medicine is needles. Even though the brunette teen loves toying around with sharp objects, letting the pricking needle lodge in his body or arm doesn't help it any, and it will, without a doubt, make him hate the person giving it to him, unless it is someone that has earned the picky teen's trust.

- Bossiness
... Bossiness and Jun-Yi doesn't get along. Ever, never.
Mathematical terms -- Bossiness + Jun-Yi = Fail.
When someone takes care of him, it should be with strict and firm tone, but also with love, care; that's what he needs.

- Clingy
Once you get introduced and Jun-Yi begins to like you and show his emotions, how rare it may be, then it is your chance to get a little bit more closer. Be warned, though -- if you're stuck with him for a crucial time, such as during a storm or darkness, then you will have him clinging onto you until it's all safe and good.

- British or Chinese...
Jun-Yi will usually get along with them much more better than other ethnic groups, just because of his Parents. He misses them terribly, and hearing any accents would be the cherry on top; reminded of the nice days, when they actually got along.

History:

Jun-Yi Huang was born in Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong. Being born between a Chinese Mother and a British Father, it wasn't easy for the boy, especially through schoolwork and basically, during school. Since he had been brought up with his Mother for the most of his life, he had learned Chinese as his first language. After a couple of years and a month after he had celebrated his tenth birthday, the teen was taken away to his Father in England, to study English and be good at the language, and hopefully, forget Chinese. Or so the Father hoped. It wasn't the case, however -- Jun-Yi, as much as quiet and calm he was, could be as equally sneaky and sly as a snake. And at nighttimes, after kissing his Papa goodnight, forcedly, and with a fake smile on his face, he would slip out into the cool night air of London, and walk around, trying to find bookstores with foreign books in them. Finding one specific place, he quickly made good friends with the bookkeeper and became a very good customer there, using his allowance he earned to buy books or other trinkets he saw there. After a month of his nightly escapades, he was quickly caught by his Father when the teen had failed to return home, and had slept at the place. Hauling Jun-Yi by the ear to the house, he muttered warnings harshly, quickly, then locked him at the cellar. Discontent with his life there, he tried times to get out, as much times as he failed.

Little months flailed by, and he quickly turned more quiet at the cellar. Receiving his meals with a small, gruff 'Thank you' was the only words he spoke regularly, and his eyes, adjusted to the darkness, became hard to see things with. When he was finally let out, Jun-Yi pretended as if nothing happened and always went to school on time, as if he wanted to get away from his home. Shuffling quickly, he would sometimes slam into the parked cars or street lights, and walk away with his forehead aching. Clumsy he was, too, and he found himself in trouble as quickly as he could say, "Darn." Just because of his schooling in London, the once-Chinese-learning boy turned into more of a British, young man, and now he uses words and slangs used by the British. Chinese curses or words never did leave his mind, but only when if he is angry or enraged, does he use them. Because of his Asian appearance however, and his mixed blood, Jun-Yi was usually the subject of being bullied or being picked on, with crude nicknames such as 'Half-blood', 'Mixed-blood,' and names along those cruelty.

It wasn't hard to see he was anti-social, and hard to get along with -- he always returned home with a fresh bruise or a scratch. Worried, his Father sent him to America, California to be exact, to be with his Uncle and Aunt. Sadly, they were hypocrites. And sending him to one of the most run-down schools in California, near the shady places, was a terrible mistake. There, he learned how to use a lighter, burn items, then use matches and firecrackers.

Other Important Info:

Honestly... Jun-Yi is a confused human being, who doesn't understand the ways of Life. He's scared, afraid, and wants to know everything that will happen, which is impossible. Also, he believes in Dragons, which makes him sound a little bit more loony, to be truthful.

Roleplay Sample:

White, white, pure, snowy white.

Jun-Yi's eyes portrayed no emotion from his utter mind, but his inner self was swirling with the colour-less colour. He felt the small, calm hand on his shoulder that patted it gently; the nurse that had introduced him around the Hospital wasn't that rude or mean, and he found himself liking her within seconds. Her calm, angelic voice soothed his taut muscles and nerves, and he gave a small nod to signal that he was still on earth. Looking up, he saw her face turn upward into a smile as she patted his shoulder and squeezed it once, trying to rub her calmness onto the fidgety teen. It didn't really work, but Jun-Yi wouldn't show anything like such. With a repetitive nods, he blinked as he approached his room, his hand automatically going to the nurse's clothing to clutch at. So, so bright it was, compared to the gloomy weather of London! Rubbing at his tired eyes, he went in and looked around, as if a little sliver of darkness was hiding there. Seeing none, he cracked the smallest smile anyone could ever produce and watched the woman leave. Feeling lonely all of a sudden, he climbed onto the bed and kicked his left front and back, chewing on his lower lips. When people wasn't there with him, he showed the smallest of emotions, sometimes, somedays. Humming a old tune that registered as a Chinese lullaby, he hopped off and began to tug at his suitcase, unzipping the zipper and pulling out all the contents.

Seeing the clothes made his throat clog up, and he coughed a few times, just a mere clearing of the throat, before digging his hands into the soft cloth. Ruffling through, he saw the book he had covered with his clothes, and took it out, blowing on the covers. Then, he set it upon the small and white nightstand, then sat back down to go through the things once more. Clothes, clothes, then a small pouch of money jingled; dropping it onto the floor carelessly, Jun-Yi continued to shift through them, sometimes getting up to place them away or pat them neatly into piles to stuff into the drawers. The clock ticked, and he blearily looked up to the ticking clock to see that it was nearly his time to sleep. But he wanted to finish everything before sleeping, so he put them away, stuck the suitcase into the closet, which he closed because he had been scared of something popping out, he plopped onto the floor; there were still clothes strewn around. Yawning, he groaned and leaned onto the bed's side, and closed his eyes. Just a little moment of rest, just a little while...

And that was his position in the morning when the Nurse came in to give his food; sprawled on the floor, little drool coming from the side of his lips, cushioned by the clothes. And, they knew -- this would be the little sleep he would be able to receive before indulging in the hard, hospital life.

Lunes? I think that I know you, are you also an England roleplayer~? Or..someone else has your name hahaa. ♥

Let me first say that I absolutely love this application. Your first time as him? You did well! It is great, except for one problem, this hospitals is for patients with physical illnesses and injuries, and what you gave him is more mental which would be in a different department and hospital type all together. I am so sorry!

However, I will be willing to try to compromise something with you if you don't want to rewrite it all! Just contact me via PM or on MSN and we can talk, okay?

I really do love this though. ♥
